DESCRIPTION
The Primary Air Filter, also known as AF899, is a vital component of a truck's air intake system. Its primary function is to prevent dirt, dust and other debris from entering the engine by filtering the air before it reaches the combustion chamber. This helps to ensure that only clean air enters the engine, which in turn helps to improve its performance and longevity. The filter is typically made of pleated paper or foam and must be replaced on a regular basis in order to maintain optimal performance. It is located in the air filter housing near the engine and can usually be accessed by removing a cover or clamp.
