DESCRIPTION
Coolant, also known as engine coolant or antifreeze, is a liquid mixture that circulates through the engine and helps regulate its temperature. The primary function of coolant is to absorb heat from the engine and transfer it to the radiator for dissipation. This prevents the engine from overheating and potentially causing damage. Coolant also contains additives that prevent corrosion, lubricate water pump seals, and inhibit foaming. It typically consists of a 50/50 mixture of ethylene glycol or propylene glycol and water. It is important to regularly check coolant levels and replace it according to manufacturer recommendations to ensure proper engine function. CC2837USR is a specific part number of coolant that may be used in certain truck models.
