DESCRIPTION
A Spin-On Lube Filter, also known as LF16243, is an important component of a truck's engine oil system. It is a replaceable filter that works by removing contaminants from the engine oil as it circulates through the engine. The filter has a canister shape and features a threaded base that screws onto the engine block or oil cooler housing. The interior of the filter contains a pleated filtration medium made of cellulose or synthetic fibers that trap dirt, debris, and other particles from the oil flow. When it becomes clogged with contaminants, it must be replaced to maintain proper lubrication and prevent damage to internal engine components. A Spin-On Lube Filter is essential for keeping a truck's engine running smoothly and prolonging its lifespan.
