DESCRIPTION
Sealant, also known as adhesive sealant, is a viscous substance used to fill gaps, cracks and joints in various truck components. It is applied to prevent fluids or gases from leaking between two surfaces. Sealants come in different types including silicone, polyurethane and acrylic-based sealants. They are commonly used on engines, transmissions, differentials and axles. Sealants can withstand high temperatures and provide good resistance to chemicals and moisture making them ideal for automotive applications. When applying sealant it is important to ensure that the surfaces being sealed are clean and dry for maximum adhesion.
