DESCRIPTION
A Compression Tester, identified by part number 3164840, is a tool used to measure the compression pressure of an engine cylinder. It typically consists of a gauge with a pressure scale and a hose or adapter that attaches to the spark plug hole of the cylinder being tested. The tester is used during engine diagnostics or tune-ups to identify potential issues such as worn piston rings, valve seals, or head gasket leaks that can cause low compression and poor engine performance.
