DESCRIPTION
The Diamond Dowel, also known as part number 70548, is an essential component in the construction of concrete pavements. It is a small steel plate with diamond-shaped protrusions on both sides that are designed to interlock with corresponding holes in adjacent concrete panels. When properly installed, the Diamond Dowel helps to transfer loads between panels while allowing for differential movement caused by temperature changes and other factors. This results in a more durable and longer-lasting pavement surface that can withstand heavy traffic loads.
