DESCRIPTION
An engine piston kit, with part number 5693700, is a set of components that make up the piston assembly within an internal combustion engine. This typically includes a piston, piston rings, wrist pin and retaining clips. The piston itself is a cylindrical component that moves up and down inside the engine cylinder, compressing fuel and air mixture during the intake stroke and generating power during the power stroke. Piston rings are used to seal the gap between the piston and cylinder wall to prevent oil from entering the combustion chamber while also keeping combustion gases contained in the chamber. The wrist pin connects the piston to the connecting rod which transfers energy from the pistons to rotate crankshaft. A complete engine piston kit ensures proper function of all these components together for efficient operation of an engine.
