DESCRIPTION
The Diesel Exhaust Fluid Header, also known as part number 4378047, is a component found in modern diesel trucks. This header is responsible for storing and distributing Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), which is used to reduce harmful emissions from diesel engines. The DEF Header consists of a tank, pump, and various sensors that monitor the fluid level and pressure. It is located near the engine and connected to the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system through a series of hoses. When the engine runs, DEF is injected into the SCR system where it reacts with exhaust gases to convert harmful nitrogen oxides into harmless nitrogen gas and water vapor. The Diesel Exhaust Fluid Header plays an essential role in reducing emissions from diesel trucks and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
