DESCRIPTION
The Particulate Filter Module (PFM), also known as a diesel particulate filter, is an emissions control device designed to remove particulate matter (PM) from the exhaust gases of diesel engines. The PFM consists of a ceramic substrate that traps and oxidizes PM in the exhaust stream. The trapped PM is burned off at high temperatures, reducing harmful emissions such as soot and nitrogen oxides.
