DESCRIPTION
The Starter Motor is an essential component of a truck's engine starting system. Its function is to convert electrical energy from the battery into mechanical energy, which turns the engine over to start the combustion process. The Starter Motor is typically mounted on the engine block and is activated by turning the ignition key, which sends an electrical signal to engage the starter solenoid. Once engaged, the Starter Motor spins a small gear that meshes with the flywheel on the engine and turns it over. This creates enough force for fuel and air to mix in the cylinders, igniting them and starting up your truck's engine.
