DESCRIPTION
The Starter Motor, also known as the cranking motor, is an electric motor that is responsible for starting the engine of a vehicle. It is typically mounted on the engine block and uses electrical energy from the battery to turn the flywheel, which in turn rotates the engine's crankshaft to start combustion. When the ignition key is turned, a signal is sent to engage the starter motor's solenoid, which connects power from the battery to the starter and engages its gear with that of the flywheel. Once started, it disengages automatically. The Starter Motor plays a crucial role in ensuring reliable and efficient starting of a truck's engine.
