DESCRIPTION
The idler pulley (part number 5259451) is a component of the engine belt system in a truck. It is a small, stationary pulley that helps to guide and maintain tension on the engine belt as it rotates. The idler pulley is typically located near the alternator or power steering pump and may be connected to other components such as the water pump or air conditioning compressor. Without a properly functioning idler pulley, the engine belt may slip or become loose, leading to decreased performance and potential damage to other parts of the engine.
