DESCRIPTION
The Starter Solenoid C0147059300 is an electrical component found in a truck's starter system. It functions as a switch that controls the flow of electricity from the battery to the starter motor. When the driver turns the key, an electrical signal is sent to the solenoid, which then activates a plunger that connects two large copper contacts. This action completes the circuit and allows current to flow from the battery to the starter motor, which then cranks the engine. The solenoid also disengages once the engine starts running to prevent damage from excessive cranking. Without a properly functioning Starter Solenoid, a truck may not start at all or may experience intermittent starting issues.
