DESCRIPTION
The Starter Solenoid, also known as a starter relay, is an electrical component found in most gasoline-powered vehicles. It is responsible for transmitting the electrical current from the battery to the starter motor in order to start the engine. When the ignition key is turned, it sends a signal to the solenoid which then activates an electromagnetic switch that allows electricity to flow from the battery to the starter motor. The Starter Solenoid plays a critical role in starting your vehicle and should be replaced if it fails or shows signs of wear and tear. Part Number C0147070400 refers specifically to a Starter Solenoid for certain truck models and should be used as a replacement part when necessary.
