DESCRIPTION
The Coolant Level Switch, also known as the coolant sensor or coolant level sensor, is an important component of a truck's cooling system. It is responsible for monitoring the level of coolant in the engine and sending a signal to the vehicle's computer if the level falls below a certain point. This helps prevent overheating and potential engine damage. The Coolant Level Switch typically consists of a probe that extends into the coolant reservoir and a wiring harness that connects to the vehicle's computer. When the coolant level drops, it triggers an alarm on the dashboard warning lights or gauge. If left unrepaired, low coolant levels can cause serious damage to your engine over time. Therefore, it is important to replace your Coolant Level Switch if you suspect it may be malfunctioning.
