DESCRIPTION
The Breather Tube, also known as the crankcase breather tube, is a component found in the engine of a truck. Its primary function is to release pressure that builds up in the crankcase due to combustion gases and oil mist. The Breather Tube is typically made of rubber or plastic and connects to the engine block on one end and the air cleaner assembly on the other end. This allows fresh air to be drawn into the engine while preventing contaminants from entering through the breather tube. A malfunctioning Breather Tube can lead to issues such as decreased performance, increased emissions, and even engine damage. It is important to regularly inspect and replace this component as needed for optimal engine function.
