DESCRIPTION
A valve collet is a small, cylindrical component that fits onto the stem of an engine's valve, holding it in place within the valve spring. The design of the collet allows it to grip tightly onto the valve stem while also being able to release easily when necessary. This is important because it allows the valve to move freely up and down while still maintaining proper alignment within the engine. Without a properly functioning collet, there is a risk that the valve could become dislodged from its seat and cause serious damage to the engine. As such, ensuring that your vehicle has high-quality valve collets is essential for maintaining its long-term health and performance.
