DESCRIPTION
The Air Dryer Assembly, also known as the MK529024, is a component in a truck's air brake system that removes moisture and contaminants from the compressed air before it enters the brake valves. This assembly typically consists of a desiccant cartridge, purge valve, safety valve, and heater. The desiccant cartridge absorbs moisture and contaminants from the compressed air while the purge valve removes any accumulated water from the cartridge. The safety valve prevents over-pressurization of the system while the heater keeps the assembly at an optimal temperature for proper operation.
