DESCRIPTION
The Urea Control Temperature Sensor Harness, also known as part number ML286263, is a critical component in the exhaust after-treatment system of commercial trucks. This harness is responsible for transmitting temperature data from the urea control temperature sensor to the engine control module. The urea control temperature sensor measures the temperature of the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and sends this information to the engine control module, which then adjusts the amount of DEF injected into the exhaust stream.
Without the Urea Control Temperature Sensor Harness, the engine control module would not be able to accurately measure the temperature of the DEF, which could result in improper injection of DEF into the exhaust stream. This could lead to increased emissions, decreased fuel efficiency, and potential damage to the engine.
