DESCRIPTION
Camshaft Thrust Plate is an engine internal component that is designed to prevent the camshaft from moving forward or backward. It is a flat metal plate that is located between the camshaft and the engine block. The plate is held in place by bolts and provides a surface for the camshaft to ride against. The purpose of the thrust plate is to absorb the axial thrust of the camshaft and prevent it from damaging the engine block.
