DESCRIPTION
A spin-on fuel filter, identified by part number FF5688, is a component used in trucks to remove contaminants from the fuel before it reaches the engine. The filter is designed to spin onto the engine's fuel system and trap dirt, water and other impurities as fuel flows through it. It has a threaded base that screws onto the fuel line and a canister that houses the filtering element. Once installed, the filter separates water from diesel or gasoline by means of its hydrophobic media. The hydrophobic media repels water while allowing diesel or gasoline to pass through it without any issues. Spin-on filters are easy to replace and offer superior filtration performance when compared with other types of filters.
