DESCRIPTION
Coolant is a liquid substance used in the engine of a truck to dissipate heat and maintain optimal operating temperatures. It circulates through the engine block, radiator, hoses and water pump, absorbing heat as it passes through these components. The coolant also contains additives that prevent corrosion of metal parts and inhibit the formation of scale or deposits that can impair performance. Coolant comes in various colors such as green, red, blue or yellow depending on its chemical composition and application requirements. It is important to regularly check and maintain proper coolant levels to prevent overheating which can cause engine damage.
