DESCRIPTION
A urea filter, also known as a diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) filter, is a component in the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system of modern diesel engines. It is designed to remove impurities and contaminants from the DEF solution before it enters the SCR system. The UF103 model is a specific type of urea filter used in certain trucks and heavy-duty vehicles. The filter helps to ensure that the SCR system operates efficiently by reducing harmful emissions and improving fuel economy. If the UF103 urea filter becomes clogged or damaged, it can impair the performance of the SCR system and lead to increased emissions and decreased fuel efficiency. Regular maintenance and replacement of this component are important for maintaining optimal performance of a truck's emissions control system.
