DESCRIPTION
The Actuator Tube (part number 3406808) is an essential component of the fuel system in diesel engines. It is responsible for controlling the flow of fuel to the engine's injectors. The tube houses a piston which moves back and forth, opening and closing ports that allow fuel to flow into and out of the injector pump. This movement is controlled by a solenoid valve which receives signals from the engine's electronic control unit (ECU). When the ECU detects a need for more or less fuel, it sends a signal to the solenoid valve which adjusts the position of the actuator tube piston accordingly. The actuator tube plays a critical role in ensuring that diesel engines run smoothly and efficiently by delivering precise amounts of fuel at all times.
