An actuator is a component of a truck's engine system that is responsible for converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. The 4089985RX actuator, in particular, is a part used in Cummins engines to control the position of the variable geometry turbocharger. This allows for improved fuel efficiency and engine performance by adjusting the flow of exhaust gases to the turbine wheel.
