DESCRIPTION
The Aftercooler Assembly, also known as the intercooler, is a component that cools compressed air after it leaves the turbocharger or supercharger in a diesel engine. This assembly is essential in preventing damage to the engine caused by high temperatures and improving engine performance. The 3041494 model is specifically designed for use in trucks and heavy-duty vehicles. It consists of a series of tubes and fins that allow hot compressed air to flow through while cool outside air passes over the fins, removing heat from the compressed air. This results in denser, cooler, and more oxygen-rich air entering the combustion chamber, allowing for more efficient fuel burning and increased power output.
