DESCRIPTION
An Aftercooler Core (part number 3008714) is a heat exchanger component designed to cool the compressed air coming out of the turbocharger before it enters the engine's intake manifold. This is done by passing ambient air over a matrix of tubes inside the core, which absorb and dissipate the heat from the compressed air. The cooled air then has a higher density, resulting in more complete combustion and improved engine performance. Aftercooler cores are commonly used in turbocharged diesel engines found in heavy-duty trucks and other industrial applications.
