Its primary function is to transfer filtered air from the air cleaner box to the intake manifold. This tube is generally made of plastic or rubber and can be found in various shapes and sizes depending on the make and model of the truck. The Air Transfer Tube needs to be inspected regularly for any signs of damage, cracks or leaks which can cause a decrease in engine performance and fuel efficiency.
