DESCRIPTION
The Air Starter Valve (part number 3424596) is a component of a truck's air starting system. It is responsible for controlling the flow of compressed air from the air tanks to the starter motor. When the driver turns the ignition key, the valve opens and allows compressed air to flow into the starter motor, which then cranks over the engine. Once the engine has started, the valve closes and stops airflow to prevent damage to both the starter motor and engine. The Air Starter Valve plays an essential role in ensuring reliable starting performance for heavy-duty trucks and other commercial vehicles.
