DESCRIPTION
The Air Flow Metering Venturi, also known as the AFM Venturi, is a crucial part of a truck's air intake system. It is responsible for measuring the amount of air that enters the engine. The AFM Venturi uses a tapered tube to increase the velocity of the incoming air and decrease its pressure, which helps to create a more accurate reading. This information is then sent to the truck's engine control module (ECM), which uses it to determine how much fuel should be injected into the engine for optimal combustion. A damaged or faulty AFM Venturi can cause issues with fuel efficiency and overall engine performance.
