DESCRIPTION
The Air Compressor Governor, also known as part number 3964752, is a critical component in the air brake system of a truck. It is responsible for regulating the pressure of compressed air that is used to power the brakes. The governor monitors the air pressure in the system and controls when the air compressor turns on and off to maintain a safe and consistent level of pressure. If the pressure drops below a certain level, it signals the compressor to turn on and build up more pressure. Conversely, if the pressure exceeds a certain limit, it signals for the compressor to shut off and prevent over-pressurization. Proper functioning of this component ensures reliable braking performance and helps prevent accidents on the road.
