Air Shutoff Valve (part number 4332639) is a critical component of the truck's air brake system. It is designed to stop the flow of compressed air to the engine in case of emergencies or when the vehicle is parked. The valve works by closing off the air supply to the engine's intake manifold, which prevents it from running and causes it to shut down. This feature is particularly important in preventing runaway trucks and reducing damage caused by engine overspeeding.
