DESCRIPTION
An Air Starting Motor, also known as an air starter or a pneumatic starter, is a truck component that uses compressed air to rotate the engine's crankshaft and start the combustion process. It is typically used in heavy-duty diesel engines, such as those found in trucks and construction equipment, where electric starters may not be powerful enough to turn over the engine. The Air Starting Motor consists of a motor section and an air valve section. The motor section contains a turbine wheel that rotates when air is forced through it by the valve section. This rotational energy is then transferred to the engine's flywheel, which turns the crankshaft and starts the engine. Air Starting Motors are reliable and efficient, making them an essential component for starting large diesel engines in trucks and other heavy equipment.
