An Air Transfer Tube, also known as an air intake hose or air cleaner duct, is a component of a truck's engine system that connects the air filter housing to the throttle body. This tube serves as a pathway for clean and filtered air to enter the engine and mix with fuel for combustion. The Air Transfer Tube is typically made of flexible rubber or plastic materials that can withstand high temperatures and pressure changes within the engine. It also features connectors and clamps on both ends to ensure secure attachment to other components in the system. A damaged or worn-out Air Transfer Tube may result in reduced engine performance, increased fuel consumption, and even engine damage due to unfiltered air entering the combustion chamber. Therefore, regular inspection and replacement of this part are recommended for optimal performance and longevity of a truck's engine system.
