DESCRIPTION
The Air Transfer Tube, also known as the intake manifold plenum, is a component of the truck's engine air intake system. Its purpose is to evenly distribute air from the air filter to each of the cylinders in the engine. The Air Transfer Tube is typically made of aluminum or plastic and features various ports and connections for sensors and hoses. It connects to the throttle body and directs airflow into the combustion chamber where it mixes with fuel for combustion. A damaged or clogged Air Transfer Tube can lead to decreased engine performance, reduced fuel efficiency, and increased emissions. Regular maintenance including cleaning or replacement can help ensure proper functioning of this crucial component in your truck's engine system.
