DESCRIPTION
The Rotor Assembly (part number 3545721) is a component of the Cummins® engine that is responsible for converting the linear motion of the pistons into rotational motion. It is a critical part of the engine's operation and is designed to withstand high temperatures and pressures. The rotor assembly consists of a shaft, bearings, and a series of lobes or vanes that are arranged in a specific pattern to create a seal between the rotor and the housing. As the rotor spins, the vanes trap air or fuel and compress it, which creates the power needed to drive the engine.
