DESCRIPTION
The balancer shaft (Part Number: 116519) in a Cummins® commercial truck engine is a rotating device designed to reduce engine vibration and minimize the impact of reciprocating forces. It consists of counterweights and gear-driven components that help counterbalance the rotational motion of the engine's crankshaft. By offsetting the vibrations caused by the piston movement, the balancer shaft enhances engine smoothness and reduces stress on various engine components.
