DESCRIPTION
A crankshaft thrust bearing is a component used in internal combustion engines to support the axial load of the crankshaft. It is typically located at the rear of the engine block and prevents excessive movement of the crankshaft while in operation. The bearing consists of two halves that sandwich either side of the crankshaft journal, with a layer of oil acting as a lubricant between them.
