DESCRIPTION
The Main Bearing Threaded Insert, also known by its part number 3376670, is a component of an engine that is responsible for supporting the crankshaft. It is a small cylindrical piece that is threaded on the inside and fits into the engine block where it provides a secure connection point for the main bearing cap bolts. The insert helps to evenly distribute the load of the crankshaft across the engine block, ensuring smooth operation and preventing damage to both components. In addition, it allows for easy replacement of damaged or worn-out main bearings without requiring costly repairs to the entire engine block.
