DESCRIPTION
The Main Bearing (AR12270) is a crucial component of an engine's bottom end. It is a cylindrical bearing that supports the crankshaft and allows it to rotate smoothly within the engine block. The main bearing consists of two halves, which are located in the engine block's main bearing saddles and are bolted together around the crankshaft. The Main Bearing's primary function is to distribute the load of the crankshaft evenly across the engine block, reducing friction between moving parts and preventing wear and tear on both components.
