DESCRIPTION
A Belt Tension Gauge is a tool used to measure the tension of a belt in a truck's engine. The gauge measures the deflection caused by the belt when pressure is applied to it. This measurement can then be compared to the manufacturer's specifications to ensure that the belt is properly tensioned. Over-tensioning or under-tensioning of belts can cause premature wear and tear on both the belt and other engine components, leading to potential breakdowns and costly repairs. By regularly checking and adjusting belt tension with a Belt Tension Gauge, truck owners can prolong the life of their vehicle's engine and prevent unnecessary downtime due to maintenance issues.
