DESCRIPTION
The Bypass Filter Bracket, also known as part number 186781, is a component of a truck's engine oil filtration system. This bracket is designed to hold and secure the bypass filter in place, which is responsible for removing smaller contaminants from the engine oil that may not be caught by the primary filter. The bracket typically attaches to the engine block or another stable location near the oil filter housing. Without a properly functioning bypass filter and bracket, harmful contaminants could build up in the engine oil, leading to decreased performance and potential damage to internal components.
