DESCRIPTION
A connecting rod bushing kit, also known as a conrod bushing kit, is a set of replacement parts for the connecting rods in an engine. The kit usually includes two halves of a cylindrical sleeve that fit into the small end of the connecting rod and provide a bearing surface for the piston pin. The bushings are typically made of high-strength materials like bronze or steel and are designed to withstand the stresses and high temperatures generated by engine operation. Over time, wear can cause the original bushings to become loose or damaged, leading to increased engine noise, reduced power output, and even catastrophic failure. Installing a new connecting rod bushing kit can help restore proper engine performance and prevent further damage to other components.
