DESCRIPTION
A bushing mandrel (part number ST1158) is a tool used in the process of removing and installing suspension bushings on a truck. It consists of a shaft with two threaded ends and a variety of interchangeable bushing adapters that attach to the ends. The mandrel is inserted through the center of the bushing and then tightened, causing the bushing to compress and release from its mounting point. This allows for easy removal or installation without damaging surrounding components or compromising alignment. The use of a bushing mandrel can save time and effort in suspension repairs, ensuring proper fitment and longevity of the replaced parts.
