DESCRIPTION
A camshaft is a crucial component found in the engine of a truck. It is responsible for controlling the opening and closing of the valves in the engine. The camshaft is driven by the crankshaft through a timing belt or chain, and its shape determines how long each valve stays open and closed. The lobes on the camshaft push against lifters, which then push against pushrods to activate rocker arms that open and close the valves.
