DESCRIPTION
The Camshaft Cover, also known as the valve cover, is a component that sits on top of the engine and covers the camshaft(s) and other valvetrain components. It is typically made of metal or plastic and is secured to the engine with bolts or screws. The cover serves two main purposes: it seals in oil to prevent leaks and it protects the valvetrain from dirt and debris. Most covers are designed with a removable cap for easy access to the camshafts when necessary for maintenance or repairs. The Camshaft Cover can be found in many types of engines, including those used in trucks, SUVs, and other vehicles.
