DESCRIPTION
A camshaft is a cylindrical shaft with lobes or cams that operate the intake and exhaust valves of an internal combustion engine. The lobes are positioned in such a way that they push on the valve lifters, which in turn open and close the valves. This particular camshaft, part number 4975842, is designed for use in a truck engine and has specific specifications related to its size, shape, and material composition. It plays a critical role in determining the engine's power output and efficiency by controlling air flow into and out of the combustion chamber. Without it, an engine would not be able to function properly.
