DESCRIPTION
The Cam/Gear Kit (part number 3802394) is a crucial component of the engine in a truck. It consists of two parts, the camshaft and the gear. The camshaft rotates continuously driven by the crankshaft and is responsible for opening and closing the intake and exhaust valves at specific times during the engine cycle. The gear attached to it meshes with another gear on the crankshaft, ensuring that both parts rotate in sync. This synchronization is essential for proper engine operation as it ensures that valves open and close at precisely timed intervals, allowing fuel to enter and exhaust gases to exit at optimal moments.
