DESCRIPTION
The Camshaft Cover (part number 207373) is a component of a truck's engine that covers and seals the camshaft. It is typically made of metal or plastic and is bolted onto the cylinder head. The camshaft, which controls the opening and closing of the engine's valves, rotates within the cover while oil is circulated throughout to lubricate it. Proper maintenance of this component ensures that it remains sealed and prevents any oil leaks from occurring. If left unchecked, an oil leak from the camshaft cover can cause damage to other engine components, such as spark plugs or electrical connections.
