DESCRIPTION
A camshaft is a rotating cylindrical shaft with a series of oblong lobes, known as cams, that actuate the intake and exhaust valves of an internal combustion engine. The camshaft is driven by the crankshaft via a timing belt or chain and is responsible for controlling the opening and closing of the engine's valves at specific intervals. The lobes on the camshaft are designed to open and close each valve at precise times in order to ensure proper fuel-air mixture intake and exhaust fumes expulsion. The 3800855 camshaft is a specific part number used in certain models of trucks.
